Clubs/Extracurricular Activities

Forsyth Woods Elementary School is proud to offer our students opportunities to participate in various clubs and extracurricular activities.

  • Academic Scholars - Students receive an invitation to participate in this after-school program. Invited students in 2nd through 5th grade receive extra support in reading and math. The Academic Scholars meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm to 5:00pm.
  •  Art Club - Students receive an invitation to participate in this before-school program. Invited students learn additional art skills and have fun creating art. The Art Club meets on selected days. 
  • Battle of the Books - Students that enjoy reading are encouraged to participate in this after-school club. Every year our school prepares to participate in the Battle of the Books Contest with the Battle of the Books Club Students that prepare all year to answer questions about selected books. The Battle of the Books Club meets on selected days. 
  • Math and Science Club - Students receive an invitation to participate in this after-school program. Invited students in 5th grade have fun learning about Math and practicing Science concepts. The Math and Science Club meets twice a week.

  • News Crew - 5th grade students that participate in this before-school program learn how to report our school’s news and how to produce the Morning Announcements. The News Crew meets daily. 
  • Orff Ensemble - Students receive an invitation to participate in this after-school program. Invited students learn how to play and perform with musical instruments. The Orff Ensemble meets on selected days.  
  • School Chorus - Students receive an invitation to participate in this after-school program. Invited students learn how to sing and perform songs. The School Chorus meets on selected days.  
  • Violin - Students receive an invitation to participate in this after-school program. Invited students learn how to play the violin. The Violin Program meets on selected days.
