
Clubs/Extracurricular Activities
Forsyth Woods Elementary is proud to offer our students opportunities to participate in different clubs and extracurricular activities.
- Violin—this year A Gift for Music is again offering free violin classes three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Invitations went home and space is limited.
- Battle of the Books—students that enjoy reading are encouraged to participate of this club. Every year our school prepares to participate in the Battle of the Books contest with a group of students that have prepared all year to answer questions about selected books.
- Science/Math Club—Fifth Grade students are invited to this club where they have fun learning about Math and practicing Science concepts. The group meets twice a week starting in September. Be on the lookout for invitations to this activity.
- News Crew—Fifth Grade students learn about reporting our school’s news and how to produce the Morning Announcements.
- Academic Scholars—this group offers help to students in grades 2-5 in the areas of Reading and Math. The scholars meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Students receive invitations to participate in this program.
