OCPS Stellar Awards – Celebrating Excellence

On Friday, January 30, the Orange County Public Schools community will gather at the Rosen Shingle Creek for the annual Stellar Awards, an event dedicated to honoring outstanding staff who exemplify the highest standards in supporting all of our students. This year, more than 500 stellar educators and school & district support staff will be celebrated for their dedication and impact, including 19 exceptional finalists who stood out among their peers.

Forsyth Woods Elementary School Principal

Dear Forsyth Woods Families,

As we move into the heart of the 2025–2026 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible energy and growth we’ve seen so far. Our students have settled into their routines, our classrooms are buzzing with curiosity, and our school community continues to shine with collaboration and care.

This fall, we are proud to continue building on the strong foundation we set at the start of the year. Our focus remains on:

  • Empowering student voices through leadership opportunities, enrichment programs, and student-led initiatives that foster confidence and creativity.
  • Strengthening family partnerships with engaging events, open communication, and meaningful ways for families to connect with learning.
  • Innovating instruction by integrating technology, hands-on learning, and personalized supports that meet students where they are and help them grow.

We are also continuing our commitment to ensuring that every child receives the academic and emotional support they need to thrive. From interactive homework to targeted interventions, our team is working hard to make learning both rigorous and joyful.
