This Month at Forsyth Woods Elementary School

This month our students learned and accomplished so much!

In addition to their daily academic growth, we celebrated several exciting school-wide events. Students participated in our Schoolwide Spelling Bee, marked a major milestone with the 100th Day of School, and continued to reinforce the importance of being present every day through our Attendance Matters initiative.

We also honored Martin Luther King Jr. Day, celebrated student achievement at our 2nd Quarter Honor Roll Ceremony, and showed our school spirit during a fun PTA family night at Boardwalk Bowling Alley. We wrapped up the month with Literacy Week, highlighting the joy and importance of reading.

It was a month full of learning, celebration, and community!

School News and Updates

Kindergarten Registration for the 2026–2027 School Year

Kindergarten registration for the 2026–27 school year began on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Please note: January 20 was designated specifically for current OCPS elementary school families.

Additional registration information for all families will be shared soon.

Please be on the lookout for upcoming updates regarding the registration process for the new school year.

📸 Picture Day: Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026
Class group photos for all students; individual photos only for those who prepay.
Online orders due Feb. 4 at 11:59 PM: https://inter-state.com/order (Code: 0397STA)
Cash orders due by 8:45 AM on Feb. 5, exact cash.
No retakes. Final picture day of the year. Photos arrive in about a month.

Join us for the exciting launch of All Pro Dads—a special program for fathers and their children to connect through fun activities, guest speakers, and meaningful conversations.

Meetings will be held once a month, and we’d love for you to be part of this growing community.
